You have tried matcha latte in a coffee shop and now you want to recreate it? It’s easy and costs only about ¼ of the coffee shop prices! The trick is to prepare the matcha green tea first and then add the hot milk and foam.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- 2g (1 tbsp) of Matcha Moments Premium Matcha
- 100ml (3.4oz) of milk (cow, almond, soy, rice – we like the roasted taste of almond milk most)
- Milk frother
- Optional: Honey or Agave nectar to sweeten
STEP 1: PREPARE THE MATCHA
Add 2g of Matcha Moments Premium Matcha with 200ml (6.8oz), non-boiling 80°C (176°F) water to a bowl. Briskly whisk the matcha in an “M” or “W” form until a frothy pastel colored layer forms.
STEP 2: PREPARE THE MILK
Froth 100ml (3.4oz) of milk in a classic milk frother. We use this one which is very convenient as it’s fully automatic, makes a good foam and the cup can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Alternatively, this type of hand frother will do the job as well.
STEP 3: ADD IT ALL TOGETHER
Fill the matcha in a tall glass and pour the hot milk in. Scoop foamy milk on top. If you like, add some honey or agave nectar to sweeten.
