Provenance 'Culinary grade' matcha is specially created for the purpose of cooking and baking. While still keeping the matcha nutrients and adding amazing color to your dish, more mature leaves are being used to adjust the matcha flavor profile to fit better with food.
The leaves still undergo the thorough process of destemming and deveining, after which they are being milled very gently between large granite wheels into the final matcha powder.
Taste Our 'Culinary grade' matcha tea has a lighter green color. It features a more robust flavor than our 'Ceremonial grade' matcha, with a more astringent flavor profile.
This matcha grade creates fine texture that blends well, whether you are making a cool matcha ice cream or warm matcha pancakes.
