Healthy snack: Matcha Energy Balls

Matcha Energy balls

Going for a hike, the gym or need a lift of energy at the office? These power packed balls of goodness are perfect on the go!

The following ingredients are your perfect exercising buddy:

Dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals as well as energy, sugar and fiber. Essential minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc can also be found in them. Dates ensure you get a fresh kick of energy to get through the exercise. And just taste really yummy.

Almonds contain proteins, vitamin E, magnesium and fiber as well as potassium and iron, helping your muscles to perform and your brain to relax.

Matcha contains a lot of antioxidants, free radicals fighting EGCg, alpha brain-waves stimulating L-Theanine and caffeine. So the matcha helps you to get new energy, detox and burn calories.

INGREDIENTS:
(makes about 8 energy balls)

2 tablespoon of Matcha Moments Premium Grade Matcha
250g dates
125g almonds
125g cacao powder
1 tablespoon honey
8 crushed raspberries

STEP 1: BLEND IT
Combine dates, almonds, cacao and honey in a blender. Blend until a thick dough-like mixture has formed (add a bit of water if necessary).

STEP 2: ROLL IT
Roll the dough into 8 balls, cut the balls in half, make a little indentation in the middle of each half with your thumb.

STEP 3: ADD RASPBERRY FILLING
Fill each half with a ½ teaspoon of crushed raspberries. Press the halves back together and smoothen the seam by gently rolling each ball in matcha powder. Smoothen the matcha energy balls in your hands.
