French toast with a twist

Matcha French Toast

French toast is one of those things that makes a Sunday morning start perfectly. Since we love matcha we experimented a bit around with the right measurements to combine matcha and French toast for a delicious Matcha French Toast. 

What do you need?
INGREDIENTS
(makes two servings)
8 slices toast or french bread
2 eggs
200 ml milk
2 tea spoons of matcha powder
1 table spoon sugar
Optional: Maple syrup, fresh fruits, (coconut) whipped cream

Step 1: MIX THE INGREDIENTS
Add a bit of milk to the Matcha first to make it into a smooth paste with no lumps.  Then add the rest of the milk, eggs and sugar and mix well. 

Step 2: DREDGE TOAST INTO THE MIXTURE
Soak the toast briefly in the mixture on both sides.

Step 3: FRY TOAST IN PAN
Melt a bit of coconut oil (or vegetable oils or butter) in the frying pan and cook the toast each side until browned.

Garnish the French toast with fresh fruits like blueberries, raspberries or strawberries. Add some maple syrup if you like. For some extra flavor add a bit of coconut or regular whipped cream.
